You want to be careful not to overheat and that's why today, our family attraction at the Lake of the Ozarks has some tips for beating the heat this Summer! We may not be able to control the weather but we can do a few things to beat the heat this summer! During periods of high temperatures, it's important to always drink plenty of fluids. You don't want to get dehydrated and drinking plenty of fluids can help keep you cool. Being out in the sun is a lot of fun but it's important to take a break to cool off every once in a while. Participate in the Lake's Largest Harbor Hop this Weekend!

The official kickoff to boating season is happening this weekend on Saturday, May 4th with the 22nd Annual Spring Harbor Hop! This lakewide event is fun for everyone and even the kids love to play along. This event is the Lake's largest poker hop on the water and you won't want to miss it. The best part about this annual event at the Lake of the Ozarks is you really don't even have to know how to play poker to participate.
