National Caves Association Convention Hosted at the Lake of the Ozarks!

This week Bridal Cave had the pleasure of hosting the National Caves Association Convention right here at the Lake of the Ozarks! Our friends over at Old Kinderhook Resort helped us accommodate over one hundred cave owners and operations from all over the United States! Cave Owners and Operators spent the week exploring the area and were able to visit many of the local attractions right here in the Cave State! Ballparks National opened last fall at the Lake of the Ozarks as a premium facility for youth baseball and softball! Featuring five all-turf fields, the complex opened in September 2020. BPN hosts week-long and weekend tournaments, with teams coming from across the country to compete at this new, state-of-the-art facility. Mark Twain Cave is Missouri’s first Show Cave. The cave was first shown in 1886 and is a Registered National Natural Landmark. Experienced guides will escort you on the 55-minute tour of Mark Twain Cave where the walkways are level and smooth, and there are no steps. Because of the natural state of our cave, it is not wheelchair accessible. Help Save Swinging Bridges

The famous Brumley Swinging Bridge was closed down early in the year after an engineer deemed it unsafe. Although eligible for a historic landmark, the cost for repairs is higher than the county is willing to pay. Locals in the area have banned together to fundraise to help save the historic landmark and fix the bridge to once again allow traffic across. Read on to learn more about the bridge and how to get involved.  The Grand Auglaize Bridge was built in 1922, is 500 feet long, and it has a span of 414 feet. It is located over Grand Auglaize Creek on Swinging Bridges Road (Lake Road 42-18) southwest of Brumley. Closed to Traffic and Pedestrians in January  Engineer Bob Lynch says county officials contacted MoDOT on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021 with a concern. He explained: “Basically, these cables go into a concrete block that’s buried in the ground, and when Miller County was cleaning up the vegetation around that area, that’s when they discovered some issues with that concrete anchorin

One of our favorite fall events happens at Ozarks Amphitheater! The Pumkin Chunkin Palooza will be happening on Saturday, September 25, 2021, and Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park want to make sure that you have all of the important information to attend this fun event. Bridal Cave is Open All Year for Cave Tours!

Another summer season is in the books as the season winds down after Labor Day weekend. Next up is fall, and although we don't get as many visitors, it's truly one of the most incredible times of year to visit our park! Gorgeous fall foliage and cooler weather make being outdoors enjoying nature even better! Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountian Park is open year-round for family fun!  It's Comfy in the Cave Even if it's a little chilly to be hanging around outside at the park, it's always a comfortable 60° inside  Missouri's most scenic cave tour , allowing you to get out of the house and into nature without freezing! Shimmy out of that heavy winter coat once you're inside the cave and feel like it's a nice, cool, fall day again. Labor Day Weekend is here! It's the last blast of summer here at the Lake of the Ozarks. If you are looking for a fun way to celebrate summer one last time, there will be fireworks all across the lake area! 33rd Annual Shootout at the Lake of the Ozarks!

Bridal Cave had a blast hosting the Mini Shootout meet and greet last week! Now the Lake Area is gearing up for the 33rd Annual Shootout! The Lake of the Ozarks Shootout is the largest unsanctioned boat race in the US, named one of the nation’s eight “must-see” boating events according to Powerboat Magazine! Bridal Cave is once again hosting the Mini Shootout Meet and Greet! Meet the drivers and see the remote control speed boats up close! The drivers and speedboats will be in our parking lot at Bridal Cave! You will have the change to get a closer look at the remote control boats and Schoobie Food will be here will some delicious snacks. Head to Bridal Cave Before School Starts to Celebrate National Family Fun Month!

It's almost time for the kids to head back to school which means the countdown to the end of summer fun is on! Since August is National Family Fun Month , why not make plans in the next week to bring the kiddos to Bridal Cave! We have plenty to keep your family busy inside the park! All you have to do is purchase a bag of sand inside the gift shop and take it outside to our sluice and pan for a variety of rough-cut gemstones! The Lake of the Ozarks is celebrating Missouri's 20th birthday in a BIG way! Events have been happening all summer long but one of the events that we are most excited about is the Lake of the Ozarks Best Dam Fireworks Display! Fireworks will be set off all across the Lake on Missouri's Birthday on August 10th! Bridal Cave is sponsoring one of the firework display locations - read on to learn more! Best Dam Fireworks Display  Missouri's 200th Birthday  August 10th, 9:45 PM  10.5 MM of the Big Niangua Arm  Fireworks will be set off in front of Bridal Cave starting at 9:45 PM and synchronized to music that will be broadcast on the 93.5 Rocks the Lake FM. The optimum viewing is by boat at the 10.5 mile marker of the Big Niangua Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks.
