3 Reasons to Add Bridal Cave to Your Lake of the Ozarks Vacation Plans

Image
It's time to start planning your next exciting summer vacation. Make it a vacation at the Lake of the Ozarks this year, and the first item to add to your itinerary of fun is a trip to Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park .  Why is that? Well, there are LOTS of great reasons to visit our family fun attraction in mid-Missouri , but for today, we've narrowed it down to three. (You can discover all the rest for yourself after you get here!)  It's NOT Weather-Dependent First and foremost, you can add a trip to Bridal Cave to your plans and not worry about scrambling to change those plans at the last minute if it rains. The cave tour, as well as the amazing gift shop and rock shop, give you plenty of adventure time away from whatever Mother Nature decides to do that day.  On sunny days, you can add a hike through Thunder Mountain Park to your list of things to do. Of course, if that sunny day gets too hot to enjoy being outdoors, well, the cave's temperature is always...

Warm Winter Fun For The Holidays

Image
Christmas weekend looks like it's going to be a cold one, but that doesn't mean you have to keep everyone locked away inside the house. Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park are open year-round so that you can enjoy nature, no matter what the weather!  It's Comfy in the Cave Even if it's a little chilly to be hanging around outside at the park, it's always a comfortable 60° inside Missouri's most scenic cave tour , allowing you to get out of the house and into nature without freezing! Shimmy out of that heavy winter coat once you're inside the cave and feel like it's a nice, cool, fall day again.  Instead of getting stir-crazy stuck inside the house, bring the family here to hang out with us over the holidays. We are open daily from 9 am - 4 pm with Bridal Cave tours leaving every few minutes. The only exception will be that we will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day to celebrate the holidays at home.  Check Out Cool St...

Free Fall Decorations Available After Our Festival!

Image
The 1st Annual Thunder Mountain Fall Festival is winding down. We are about to enter the final weekend of entertainment and demonstrations, and the last day to enjoy festival activities will be on Tuesday, October 31, aka Halloween. There are only a few more days to enjoy this extra-special fun at Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park . (Although the park is tons of fun even when those things aren't going on!) Once it's over, we have to do something with all of those wonderful decorations we put up.   FREE Fall Decor Once our Lake of the Ozarks fall festival is over, we want to repurpose as many of the autumn decorations as possible. They are simply too gorgeous to go to waste once we take them down. If you have a use for straw, round hay bales, corn, or pumpkins, these will...

Image
The 1st Annual Thunder Mountain Fall Festival at our scenic family attraction at the Lake of the Ozarks has been a big hit so far, and there are still plenty of great days left in October to enjoy it! Right now at Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park we have over 1,000 pumpkins on site, all looking for a good home. Today we've got a few creative decorating ideas so you can turn the pumpkins you pick into something extra-special.  Carve It The most popular thing to do with any pumpkin this time of year is to carve it into a jack-o-lantern. Using simple shapes to carve eyes, a nose, and a mouth are a classic, but if you want to get a little fancier than that, here are a couple of places to find some free pumpkin carving templates. HGTV The Pumpkin Lady Paint It Skip the knives and scooping altogether and pull out your paintbrushes instead. You can paint a character or your favorite Halloween scene right on the pumpkin shell instead of carving it out. Another o...
