Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park

It's finally here! Our annual vow renewals inside Bridal Cave will take place THIS weekend! On Sunday, February, 10th from 9am to 4pm , love will be in the air inside beautiful and romantic Bridal Cave! All married couples, including their family members, are invited to attend this event at our unique wedding venue at the Lake of the Ozarks . There is no need to make a reservation, simply show up between 9am and 4pm and say, "I Do" again! Icy Weather in the Forecast...  We are doing our very best to make sure we are not stopped by mother nature this year. So much so that members of the staff are actually going to camp out here at the park to be ready just in case there is inclement weather. We also have a plan B in case we cannot get down the hill Sunday morning and will start at 9am in the new mountain top event center until it warms up (they are calling for high temperatures of 40 degrees Sunday afternoon.) "Bridal" Cave isn't just a random name that someone liked the sound of. It is actually a very unique wedding venue at the Lake of the Ozarks . Our cave has a long history of weddings taking place inside of it. It all began with the marriage of two Native Americans from Osage tribes, many, many years ago, and the tradition continues today.  The Weddings Begin By Popular Demand When Bridal Cave first opened to the public on October 16, 1948, the developers only had plans to give tours of the cave due to the abundance of cave formations and vibrant natural colors. Even though they knew about the Native American legend of the wedding in the cave, there were no plans to perform wedding ceremonies.  Shortly after the cave opened for tours, requests to carry on the legend began to come in.
