Bridal Cave: The Best Fall Trip For You & Your Family!

Bridal Cave is the best place to be this fall! We have tons of family fun, interesting history, hiking trails, gorgeous views, and of course our amazing Missouri cave tours! In this blog we want to go over some of our favorite aspects of Bridal Cave and showcase some of our fantastic customer reviews!

Read more below and see for yourself what Bridal Cave has to offer!

Cave Tours

Our guided tours leave every few minutes and last approximately one hour. Tours are conducted over concrete pathways through the Cave’s refreshing 60 degree environment. Park interpreters will lead you and your family through room after room of incredible mineral deposits. Giant columns, delicate soda straws and massive draperies abound throughout the cave. Millions of years of struggle between water and rock have created this cavern with more onyx formations than any other known cave or cavern. In fact thousands of school children each year explore Bridal Cave as part of their educational program. A tour through Bridal Cave is a family adventure you will never forget.

Gemstone Mining

Kids Young & Old LOVE IT! You and your kiddos will be provided a bag of miningrough and you will be able to pan for minerals. Find such semi precious minerals as Emeralds, Fools Gold, Amethyst, Garnets & Sapphires.
Plus, any gemstones that are found, you get to keep! This is an amazing and fun experience for both our younger and adult visitors!

Rock Shop

Thunder Mountain Mining Company is a unique rock and mineral shop specializing in rocks, minerals, gemstones and educational materials for rock hounds of all ages! After your cave tour, be sure to stop by and experience all of the gorgeous minerals and rocks that can be found within our shop! Then, you'll have a beautiful souvenir for life!

Reviews

Don't just take our word! Here are some amazing reviews from some of our visitors who can't get enough of Bridal Cave!

"Wow! Bridal Cave surpassed my expectations. The hour tour was great. The cave had many formations including some of the most amazing cave straws I have ever seen. Definitely worth the stop! Plus, our guide Evan did a great job."

"Absolute must-see experience! Even if you've seen one cave before, no two are alike, so don't miss this one! I can't say enough about our tour guide, Tripsy! She was fun, outgoing, incredibly knowledgeable and made the whole experience even better than I expected! The area is gorgeous as well, overlooking the river, and you can hike Thunder Mountain. Great little gift shop, too! You can buy various sizes of "pay dirt" (seeded with genuine minerals from around the world), then take it over to their "mining" area where you can test out the panning process. You pour your bag, little bits at a time, into the screens, hold it under the running water to wash off the sand and dirt and discover the gemstones inside. Great experience for kids and adults alike, to see how the mining process works! (My friend's "kids" were 18 and 20, and even they loved it!) Spend a few hours, or a whole day here. You won't be disappointed!"

"Awesome experience. Our tour guide Hattie was informative, friendly and funny. My husband and I absolutely enjoyed ourselves. The cave was beautiful and we would probably go again if we come visit the Ozarks again! The gift shop had really cool items, and the waiting area for the tours was beautiful. We totally forgot to check out the 1/2 mile walking tour afterwards. Will be back before our trip is over."
