The 70th Dogwood Festival is Being Held at a NEW Location!

 The 70th Annual Dogwood Festival will be here very soon! A long-standing tradition in the Camdenton Community filled with fun activities including a parade, music, vendors, community events, parents, carnival, and so much more! Learn more about this year's exciting Dogwood Festival! 



The Camdenton Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the return of the Dogwood Festival with a new location at the Ozarks Amphitheater. The dates are April 15-17, 2021, and will be officially the 70th Annual Dogwood Festival with the theme of “Dogwood Through The Decades.” Stay tuned in the coming weeks as more information becomes available. Check back on the Camdenton Chamber Facebook page or their website for updates. Get ready for the kick-off to Spring with the Dogwood Festival!

Along with a-rockin' lineup of music his year, we are excited for our friends at Ozarks Amphitheater to host this year's Dogwood Festival! If you have yet to have the opportunity to see their venue, be sure to make plans to attend the 70th Annual Dogwood Festival! 


Our family attraction at the Lake of the Ozarks is right up the road from the Dogwood Festival so if you're looking for something fun to do in between activities, come take a tour of our Lake of the Ozarks Cave! While you're here why not take a hike on our 1/2 mile nature trail and see if you can spot a Dogwood!

The most scenic cave tour in Missouri is surrounded by the natural beauty of Thunder Mountain Park .  This incredible Lake of the Ozarks attraction  covers hundreds of acres.  It spreads over more than a mile of Lake of the Ozraks shoreline, a mile of highway frontage along Old Missouri Route 5, and all the acreage in between.  That is a lot of nature to be explored! Spend Your Spring Break at the Lake of the Ozarks

It's time for Spring Break! You don't need to travel to some sandy beach to get away from everything. Our scenic Lake of the Ozarks attraction feels lucky to be located in the center of some of the most natural beauty in America. There's no need to travel any further than right here, the Midwest's Coast!  There are buds on the trees and the flowers are beginning to bloom, the fish are biting, and the lake is calling out to us all! Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park are even extending our hours to kick off Spring Break, and we'll be open daily from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm beginning March 11, 2017 . Stalactites & Stalagmites - Which is Which?

Caves in Missouri , as well as around the world, are filled with stalactites and stalagmites.  Everyone has heard of these, but most people have trouble remembering which is which.  Today's Bridal Cave blog will hopefully help you to remember once and for all which one hangs from the ceiling and which one hangs from the floor.  We'll even teach you some interesting facts about how both are formed.   There are a couple of different ways that people use to help them keep these two types of formations straight.  Stalactites are fixed "tight" to the ceiling, and stalagmites "might" trip you when you walk.  Another trick is to use the spelling. StalaCtite has a "C" like the Ceiling from which it hangs, and stalaGmites have a "G" like the Ground they grow on.  You may think these ideas sound corny, but we bet at least one of them will stick with you and you will always remember!
