Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest is Here! 🏍️

 The 14th annual Bikefest is here! We welcome all bikers to the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks and we couldn't be more excited to have you! This year, the 14th Annual Bikefest will take place September 16-20th, 2020. Thousands of Biker Enthusiasts from all across the United States will be cruising the Lake of the Ozarks for some of the most scenic rides! Whether you are local or you are just coming into town, read on to get all the details for 2020 Bike Fest Lake of the Ozarks!

Passport Stops!

Participating in the Bikefest Passport program is one of the best ways to ride around the Lake of the Ozarks! Not to mention you have the chance to win a brand new 2019 Harley-Davidson FLH Road Kind Police Motorcycle!

1. Participants are required to register with complete name, address, e-mail, date of birth and phone number on return page of the Passport. A $20.00 entry is a donation. The NEW 2019 Harley-Davidson FLHP Road King Police Motorcycle is the only prize to be awarded.

 2. A participant may complete multiple passports. A participant may enter and get stamped at any of the passport stop locations. 

3. One stamp is received at each passport stop location. All passport stop locations must be stamped for the passport to be considered complete and approved for the drawing. Passports can only be purchased and must be complete during official Bikefest event dates. 

4. After all passport stop locations are stamped the passport must be turned in at the Lake of the Ozarks Harley-Davidson Dealership at the “Official Passport Booth”. Completed passports will be accepted the following hours: Wednesday, September 16th 11:00 am – 6:00 pm Thursday, September 17th 9:00 am – 6:00 pm Friday, September 18th 9:00 am – 7:00 pm Saturday, September 19th 9:00 am – 7:00 pm Sunday, September 20th 10:00 am – 12:00 pm 5. Passports must be turned in no later than 12:00 pm on Sunday, September 20, 2020. Passport participants are not required to make any purchases. 

6. Passport participants do not need to be present to win. Winner will be notified in person, by phone call, e-mail or certified mail.

While you out collecting stamps for your passport or just looking to take a scenic trip through the Lake of the Ozarks, stop by Bridal Cave and take a tour of one of Americas most scenic caverns! Our cave stays a constant 60 degrees so it's the perfect break in the day to stop and take in some cool air. Our tours last about an hour which is the perfect amount of time to stretch your legs before you get back on your bike! 


 From scenic rides through the Ozark hills, Lake of the Ozarks attractions, numerous biker friendly bars & restaurants, concerts, and parties this is a weekend any biker enthusiast won't want to miss! Don't forget to stop by for some breath-taking views at Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park this weekend!

The most scenic cave tour in Missouri is surrounded by the natural beauty of Thunder Mountain Park .  This incredible Lake of the Ozarks attraction  covers hundreds of acres.  It spreads over more than a mile of Lake of the Ozraks shoreline, a mile of highway frontage along Old Missouri Route 5, and all the acreage in between.  That is a lot of nature to be explored! Spend Your Spring Break at the Lake of the Ozarks

It's time for Spring Break! You don't need to travel to some sandy beach to get away from everything. Our scenic Lake of the Ozarks attraction feels lucky to be located in the center of some of the most natural beauty in America. There's no need to travel any further than right here, the Midwest's Coast!  There are buds on the trees and the flowers are beginning to bloom, the fish are biting, and the lake is calling out to us all! Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park are even extending our hours to kick off Spring Break, and we'll be open daily from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm beginning March 11, 2017 . Stalactites & Stalagmites - Which is Which?

Caves in Missouri , as well as around the world, are filled with stalactites and stalagmites.  Everyone has heard of these, but most people have trouble remembering which is which.  Today's Bridal Cave blog will hopefully help you to remember once and for all which one hangs from the ceiling and which one hangs from the floor.  We'll even teach you some interesting facts about how both are formed.   There are a couple of different ways that people use to help them keep these two types of formations straight.  Stalactites are fixed "tight" to the ceiling, and stalagmites "might" trip you when you walk.  Another trick is to use the spelling. StalaCtite has a "C" like the Ceiling from which it hangs, and stalaGmites have a "G" like the Ground they grow on.  You may think these ideas sound corny, but we bet at least one of them will stick with you and you will always remember!
