The Last Blast of the Summer - Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend is the "unofficial" end of summer, but you still have plenty of time to visit Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park before the season is really gone. If you are able to join us at our scenic family attraction at the Lake of the Ozarks over the long holiday weekend, here are a few things you can look forward to.

Only 2 Bridal Cave Lantern Tours Left!
Bridal Cave has an amazing lighting system installed so that you can get an excellent view of nature's beauty as you take the regular tour. Without those artificial lights, the cave's natural state is pure darkness, which adds extra mystery and excitement to an expedition.

Brand new this year, we decided to start leading tours through the cave lit only by the light of hand-held lanterns and lighted helmets. These only take place on Saturday evenings, Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, which means at the time this is being written, we've only got 2 lantern tours left this year! (Space is limited and reservations are required, so you'll want to book your spot now before they're all gone!) You can place your reservation through the website, or give us a call at 573-346-2676.

Great Sales in the Rock Shop & Gift Shop
Our Lake of the Ozarks gift shop is filled with rocks and minerals from all over the world. Right now, many of them are on sale. They make wonderful souvenirs from your Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park trip. We've also got some amazing closeout prices marked down on all of our sportswear. Won't all of your friends back home be jealous when they see you sporting your new Bridal Cave gear?

Labor Day Fireworks
Labor Day weekend means there will be gorgeous fireworks displays over the water all weekend long. Fireworks are beautiful on their own, but when they are set off over the lake, the fantastic reflection of the show on the water is something extra-special indeed.

If you'll be out on a boat this weekend, you can reach our waterfront Lake of the Ozarks attraction by water at the 10.5 MM of the Big Niangua Arm of the lake. Dock here during the day, feed the fish, walk the trails, take a cave tour, enjoy lunch in the lakeside pavilion, and then head back out on your boat for the fireworks show that evening. You can find a list of different displays by visiting Funlake.com.

Come Back After the Holiday
If you can't make it to the lake for Labor Day weekend, don't worry, we're not going anywhere! Like we said, this is only the "unofficial" end of summer, but you've got plenty of time left to enjoy our Lake of the Ozarks family attraction this season, plus it's a lot less crowded and the water is still perfect!

Once fall does show up, that's a breathtaking time to take in the are too, making it another marvelous time for a trip to the lake. Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park are open year-round, so we'll happily welcome you every time you decide to pay us a visit. After all, every season deserves a little Family Fun... As It Should Be!
