Covering hundreds of acres, the Lake of the Ozarks attraction spreads over more than a mile of the lake’s shoreline, a mile of highway frontage along Old Missouri Route 5, and all the acreage in between. How to Prepare for Your Hike

Hiking might sound like a great adventure, but it is important to plan accordingly! At Thunder Mountain Park, you can explore our ½ mile nature trail, stop at our outdoor classroom, and check out the beautiful limestone shelves. The gorgeous scenery is full of complex plant and animal communities, so you may catch glimpses of an abundance of wildlife. Take in the natural light and greenery by hiking to the south side of the park. Spending a day here will have you reminiscing on the Ozark Mountains as they were decades ago.
