Support the Special Olympics at the Polar Plunge THIS Weekend!

The Polar Plunge takes place every year at the Lake of the Ozarks and it benefits the local Special Olympics athletes by "plunging" into the Lake of the Ozarks in the middle of winter! This event shows your bravery as you support local Special Olympic athletes. This is a fun annual event at the Lake of the Ozarks and you won't want to miss the fun atmosphere complete with music, crazy costumes, and making memories. Our family attraction at the Lake of the Ozarks has the event details below!

This year, there will be a pre-party that takes place between the Strut and the Plunge. There will be a Chili Cook-Off. The entry fee for the Chili Cook-Off is $50. The cost to eat is $5 but all Plunge Participants can sample for free. Along with the Chilli Cook-Off, you will have the opportunity to interact with the athletes, fun entertainment, and a silent auction.

Raising Money for a GREAT Cause

The money raised for this event truly goes to a great cause. In 2018, Lake of the Ozarks Plunge had 282 plungers and raised more than $120,400! Ideally, you already have your team formed and you've been raising money all week from your family and friends but you can join the plunge the day of the event for $75. If you're not taking the Plunge, you are still more than welcome to attend the event and support from the sidelines.
