Let Bridal Cave Recycle Your Used Christmas Trees
There is something very special about putting up a real tree for Christmas. The look, smell, and feel can be difficult to duplicate. Once the holidays are over you, can't just pack it away until next year like with an artificial tree. What you CAN do is bring it to the Lake of the Ozarks most scenic attraction and let us recycle it for you!
Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle!
Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park will once again be accepting your old Christmas trees once you are done with them. Instead of throwing them away, bring them to us and we will repurpose them into a wonderful home for the many fish that live in the Lake of the Ozarks.
This is a wonderful opportunity to teach young children about the importance of recycling and show them how they can easily help to improve the world around them. Recycling your old Christmas trees in this way keeps them from being discarded along our roadways, plus it offers much-needed cover for our lake area fish.
Fish of all sizes are attracted to the trees for a variety of reasons. They enjoy eating the aquatic insects that will make a home in the tree branches, and these sunken trees also offer small fish a great hiding place from the bigger fish. Knowing that fish will be congregating in the areas where the trees are placed, this makes it a great spot for you to catch fish too.
Bring Us Your Trees!
You are welcome to drop off your trees during our regular business hours, between 9 am - 4 pm. We are closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day, but are otherwise open 7 days a week. Please make sure that all of the decorations are removed, and we are happy to take care of the rest.
We will be placing them in the Niangua Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks. Steve Thompson, General Manager of the park, stated, "It seemed like an ideal opportunity to help recycle the old Christmas trees as we have the room on our parking facility to collect the discarded trees, are located right on the lake, and have the shoreline to place the beds."
A Special Thanks To You
Since you'll be doing your part to make our world a better place by bringing your tree to Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park to give to the fish, we'd like to give something back to you too! For every tree donated, you will receive a coupon good for 25% off admissions for the entire family anytime during the 2018 season. (That's only a couple of weeks away!) For more information, you can contact Steve Thompson at 573-346-2676 or email info@BridalCave.com.
Enjoy those beautifully decorated Christmas trees throughout the holiday season, and when it's time to take them down, bring them to our family attraction at the Lake of the Ozarks. The fish will enjoy them from then on!
