Help Save Swinging Bridges
The famous Brumley Swinging Bridge was closed down early in the year after an engineer deemed it unsafe. Although eligible for a historic landmark, the cost for repairs is higher than the county is willing to pay. Locals in the area have banned together to fundraise to help save the historic landmark and fix the bridge to once again allow traffic across. It is located over Grand Auglaize Creek on Swinging Bridges Road (Lake Road 42-18) southwest of Brumley.
