2021 Lake of the Ozarks Eagle Days! March 6th, 2021!

Get out your coats, hats and gloves for one of the most popular winter events at the Lake of the Ozarks. Ameren Missouri's Lake of the Ozarks Eagle Days will return for its 19th year at the Lake on Saturday, March 6, 2021. The first live eagle program held in 1999 attracted 651 participants. Lake of the Ozarks Eagle Days 

Saturday, March 6th, 2021 (9:00 am - 4:30 pm)

A collective partnership with the Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, Lake of the Ozarks Convention and Visitor Bureau, Osage National Golf Resort, FaceLift Design+Print, Regalia Hotel & Conference Center and Missouri Master Naturalist – Lake of the Ozarks Chapter, announces Ameren Missouri's Lake of the Ozarks Eagle Days will return to Lake Ozark in January 2021.

• Coloring & Photo Contest - drop off only - no coloring activities available on site

While all of the venues aren't available for extra viewing opportunities this year, we do encourage you to get out and travel down to the Osage River and around the Lake to see if you do spot any.

In addition to the many migrating bald eagles we see in our area during the winter months, there are several mated pairs and juveniles that reside here year-round.

Make a Reservation 

2021 Ameren Missouri's Lake of the Ozarks Eagle Days will be a modified version of the annual event. Two locations will host live bird programs beginning at 9am on March 6th. While the event is FREE, reservations are highly encouraged so seating can be properly planned. There will also be a maximum capacity for each show, so without a reservation, there is no guarantee you will be allowed entry if the show is already at capacity.

The most scenic cave tour in Missouri is surrounded by the natural beauty of Thunder Mountain Park .  This incredible Lake of the Ozarks attraction  covers hundreds of acres.  It spreads over more than a mile of Lake of the Ozraks shoreline, a mile of highway frontage along Old Missouri Route 5, and all the acreage in between.  That is a lot of nature to be explored! Spend Your Spring Break at the Lake of the Ozarks

It's time for Spring Break! You don't need to travel to some sandy beach to get away from everything. Our scenic Lake of the Ozarks attraction feels lucky to be located in the center of some of the most natural beauty in America. There's no need to travel any further than right here, the Midwest's Coast!  There are buds on the trees and the flowers are beginning to bloom, the fish are biting, and the lake is calling out to us all! Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park are even extending our hours to kick off Spring Break, and we'll be open daily from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm beginning March 11, 2017 . Stalactites & Stalagmites - Which is Which?

Caves in Missouri , as well as around the world, are filled with stalactites and stalagmites.  Everyone has heard of these, but most people have trouble remembering which is which.  Today's Bridal Cave blog will hopefully help you to remember once and for all which one hangs from the ceiling and which one hangs from the floor.  We'll even teach you some interesting facts about how both are formed.   There are a couple of different ways that people use to help them keep these two types of formations straight.  Stalactites are fixed "tight" to the ceiling, and stalagmites "might" trip you when you walk.  Another trick is to use the spelling. StalaCtite has a "C" like the Ceiling from which it hangs, and stalaGmites have a "G" like the Ground they grow on.  You may think these ideas sound corny, but we bet at least one of them will stick with you and you will always remember!
