Help Save Swinging Bridges

The famous Brumley Swinging Bridge was closed down early in the year after an engineer deemed it unsafe. Although eligible for a historic landmark, the cost for repairs is higher than the county is willing to pay. Locals in the area have banned together to fundraise to help save the historic landmark and fix the bridge to once again allow traffic across. Read on to learn more about the bridge and how to get involved.  The Grand Auglaize Bridge was built in 1922, is 500 feet long, and it has a span of 414 feet. It is located over Grand Auglaize Creek on Swinging Bridges Road (Lake Road 42-18) southwest of Brumley. Closed to Traffic and Pedestrians in January  Engineer Bob Lynch says county officials contacted MoDOT on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021 with a concern. Bridal Cave is Open All Year for Cave Tours!

Another summer season is in the books as the season winds down after Labor Day weekend. Next up is fall, and although we don't get as many visitors, it's truly one of the most incredible times of year to visit our park! Gorgeous fall foliage and cooler weather make being outdoors enjoying nature even better! Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountian Park is open year-round for family fun!  It's Comfy in the Cave Even if it's a little chilly to be hanging around outside at the park, it's always a comfortable 60° inside  Missouri's most scenic cave tour , allowing you to get out of the house and into nature without freezing! Labor Day Weekend is here! It's the last blast of summer here at the Lake of the Ozarks.
