Things are heating up here at the Lake of the Ozarks! The good news is, when you're at the Lake of the Ozarks there are plenty of ways to stay cool! Whether you are a local in the area or here on vacation, our Lake of the Ozarks attraction has a few ideas for staying cool this summer!  During periods of high temperatures, it's important to always drink plenty of fluids. You don't want to get dehydrated and drinking plenty of fluids can help keep you cool. Being out in the sun is a lot of fun but it's important to take a break to cool off every once in a while. Use a fan or go into the air conditioning for a while to cool off. Once you've taken some time to cool off you can head back out and enjoy some more fun in the sun! Learn More About Caves with the Missouri Department of Conservation Virtual Exploration!

Missouri is known as the Cave State with over 7,500 natural caves! There is a lot to learn about a cave's habitat and this coming Tuesday, you have the opportunity to learn from Missouri Naturalist, Shelly Colatskie. The Missouri Department of Conservation is putting together an Introduction to Cave's and Caving that can be attended virtually! Read on to learn more about this free event! Habitats: Introduction to Caves and Caving  Registration period: May 17 - June 14 Date: Tuesday, June 15, 2021 9:30 am - Tuesday, June 15, 2021 2:30 pm Location: Online only Come and join us virtually as we discuss the caves and cave life of Missouri and why we need to protect this unique ecosystem.  The Lake of the Ozarks is attempting to make history this summer by attempting to break the Guinness World Records for the Largest Boat Parade! This fun parade is part of the Best Dam Birthday Bash celebrating Missouri's 200th birthday and Bagnell Dam's 9oth birthday! Want to help us attempt to break the Guinness World Record? Read on to get all the details from our Lake of the Ozarks attraction !  MHQ – Mortgage Headquarters presents the Lake of the Ozarks GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS attempt for the Largest Boat Parade. MHQ will be the Grand Marshall of the parade leading the rest of the boats to try to beat the world record of 1180 boats. The Lake of the Ozarks is excited to attempt to break the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the Largest Boat Parade. The record is currently held in Malaysia with 1180 boats. Our goal is to not only bring this record to Missouri but to Lake of the Ozarks. We NEED your help to accomplish breaking this record! All boats must register to be able
