Hey students, your ticket to extra credit in class! 👍

With many kids in our local area transition to online learning, parents are looking for ways to get the kids out of the house and away from the computer screen. Did you know Bridal Cave is not only a fun experience for the entire family, but it's also educational! There is a lot to learn when you experience an underground ecosystem and we have been getting lots of student visitors throughout the week. Read on to find out how some students are even getting extra credit to visit our educational attraction at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Visit the Cave - Recieve Extra Credit!

We are seeing lots of kids through the week now that a lot of them are attending classes virtually. One thing we get asked about is something they can take back to their teacher to get extra credit for visiting the cave. We suggest they just use their ticket stub or the souvenir photo we take of every family. Some students are getting extra credit for history, geology, and biology. And some are getting extra credit for ALL THREE! What a fun way to get extra credit for school and visit a cool cave. So kids, ask your teacher if visiting Bridal Cave will give you any extra credit in any of these subjects. The parents will love getting the students off the computer, the students will love the extra credit and the whole family gets to spend some time together in the great outdoors. It’s a win…win!!! Talk to your teacher and make plans to Go Caving!

Learn Before Your Tour

If you want to go the extra step and start learning more about caves before you visit, we have a few great resources available on our website!

Virtual Tour Online

Just in case you are unfamiliar with what a virtual tour is, it is defined as a simulation of an existing location, usually composed of a sequence of videos or still images. When you visit the Bridal Cave virtual tour on Google, it allows you to zoom in, zoom out, and use the mouse to click and drag your way around the photo as if you are standing in the center and slowly spinning around. Pretty cool, and a very intriguing way to see a part of the natural beauty that awaits you inside Bridal Cave.

Once you're done exploring the cave room you begin the virtual tour in, which happens to be our Bridal Chapel, scroll around until you see an arrow, then click on that. Following the arrow's path will take you outside, into and through the gift shop, all the way to the parking lot!

Kids Only

Head to our website - www.BridalCave.com to learn more about geology, cave safety, and wildlife inside the cave. Learn about the cave before your visit and then spend the tour detecting all of the things you learned about!

Your Ticket to Extra Credit is Waiting at Bridal Cave!

Some schools and/or teachers are offering extra credit for educational field trips and Bridal Cave is a great place for just that! However, it's important that you first talk with your teacher to make sure an educational outing will count for extra credit. Our staff has really enjoyed seeing more students throughout the week, and we hope to see even more students throughout the school year!
