One of the most popular annual events at the Lake of the Ozarks is almost here! The Lake of the Ozarks 30th Annual Shootout and associated activities will take place August 18th-26th this year at Captain Ron's Bar and Grill located in Sunrise Beach, Mo at the 34.5 MM. The Main Event: Race Day!
Top racers and offshore racing powerboats up to 244 MPH will soon be at the Lake of the Ozarks. The Shootout is known as the largest unsanctioned boat race in the Midwest with over 100 racers and 100,000 spectators. If you have yet to go to The Shootout, be sure to add it to your calendar this year!
The best way to see all the powerboat action is to attend by boat. This will allow to get up close and personal to the race. If you don't own a boat, no problem. You can still be a spectator by land at Captain Ron's Bar & Grill.
