The Lake's BIGGEST Single Day Boating Event: AquaPalooza!

Summer is in full swing here at the Lake of the Ozarks! If you are planning to be in the Lake area for the weekend but you're not sure what to do, head out to Dog Days Bar & Grill at the 19 MM for their annual concert on the water at AquaPalooza! This all-day boating event will take place on Saturday, July 21st from 12 pm- 5pm and is a family-friendly event! Biggest Single Day Boating Event 

If you love boating AND music, you will not want to miss this annual event! Thousands of people gather at this event by land and by water. Hundreds of boats will gather around to view the lakeside concert. Some have already reserved their slips at the docks but don't worry, if you don't have a boat slip reserved, boats will tie up throughout the cove. However, if you don't own a boat, no problem! There will be hundreds of folks coming by land to enjoy this concert as well. Just bring your favorite floatie and hop in the water for a great time with family and friends! You may even meet a few friends while you are there!

BEST Lakeside Concert! 

Of course, for a lakeside concert to be a success you've got to have a great lineup of artists! Every year Dog Days Bar & Grill has the most entertaining live acts on their live band stage. This years' rockin' lineup will be:

It's time for Spring Break! You don't need to travel to some sandy beach to get away from everything. Our scenic Lake of the Ozarks attraction feels lucky to be located in the center of some of the most natural beauty in America. There's no need to travel any further than right here, the Midwest's Coast!  There are buds on the trees and the flowers are beginning to bloom, the fish are biting, and the lake is calling out to us all! Stalactites & Stalagmites - Which is Which?

Caves in Missouri , as well as around the world, are filled with stalactites and stalagmites.  Everyone has heard of these, but most people have trouble remembering which is which.  Today's Bridal Cave blog will hopefully help you to remember once and for all which one hangs from the ceiling and which one hangs from the floor.  We'll even teach you some interesting facts about how both are formed.   There are a couple of different ways that people use to help them keep these two types of formations straight.  Stalactites are fixed "tight" to the ceiling, and stalagmites "might" trip you when you walk.  Another trick is to use the spelling. StalaCtite has a "C" like the Ceiling from which it hangs, and stalaGmites have a "G" like the Ground they grow on.  You may think these ideas sound corny, but we bet at least one of them will stick with you and you will always remember!
