3 Reasons to Add Bridal Cave to Your Lake of the Ozarks Vacation Plans

It's time to start planning your next exciting summer vacation. Make it a vacation at the Lake of the Ozarks this year, and the first item to add to your itinerary of fun is a trip to Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park

Why is that? Well, there are LOTS of great reasons to visit our family fun attraction in mid-Missouri, but for today, we've narrowed it down to three. (You can discover all the rest for yourself after you get here!)

It's NOT Weather-Dependent
First and foremost, you can add a trip to Bridal Cave to your plans and not worry about scrambling to change those plans at the last minute if it rains. The cave tour, as well as the amazing gift shop and rock shop, give you plenty of adventure time away from whatever Mother Nature decides to do that day.

On sunny days, you can add a hike through Thunder Mountain Park to your list of things to do. Of course, if that sunny day gets too hot to enjoy being outdoors, well, the cave's temperature is always a pleasant 60 degrees, so it's an excellent place to spend some time on hot summer days (as well as those cold, winter days too! We are open year round.)

It's Fun For ALL Ages
Our motto here at Bridal Cave is "Family Fun... As It Should Be!" because no matter your age, you'll find something to enjoy here. You will discover the rich, intriguing history of the area through the stories on the cave tour and the many historical photos on display.

Panning for gemstones is a very popular activity for our visitors and you can even smash a geode to unveil the mysteries inside. A hike through Thunder Mountain Park adds to the adventure. You can bring your lunch and enjoy a picnic overlooking the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks, feed the fish from our docks, and discover a whole lot more to do everywhere you look.

There are LOTS of Different Ways to Tour
Guided cave tours leave every few minutes and last approximately 1 hour during business hours. We also offer Lantern Tours on Saturday evenings, Memorial Day-Labor Day. This special 75 minute guided tour of Bridal Cave details the adventure of what cave exploring used to be before electric lights. Adults receive a souvenir LED lantern and children receive a souvenir LED cavers helmet.

Even if you've taken a cave tour before (Missouri has a lot of great show caves), no two caves are alike. As a matter of fact, each time you tour Bridal Cave you're bound to see something you missed before. Also, each of our entertaining tour guides does a great job of putting their own, special spins on the many cave tales we have to tell.

It's ALWAYS a Great Day to Go Caving!
So you see, there are plenty of reasons right there to bring the gang to Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park while you're in the area. They may even be enough reasons to convince you to choose our beautiful area of Missouri as your vacation destination this summer in the first place!

And we didn't even get to talk about the fact that we are close to many other fun lake area attractions, it's educational without being boring, the special group tours we offer (including Underground University), and so much more!

Bring the family and invite your friends to enjoy our fun attractions at the Lake of the Ozarks. You'll spend quality time together and make memories to last a lifetime. Once you fall in love with everything Bridal Cave has to offer, you might even want to upgrade your tickets to a season pass. Keep those underground adventures going through all the seasons!
