Annual Vow Renewal Set for 2021! 💍

Our Annual Wedding Vow Renewal is set for Sunday, February 14th, 2021! We are excited to welcome many couples to our unique wedding venue for a special Vow Renewal Ceremony inside Bridal Cave! Each year we welcome hundreds of couples to renew their vows. Read on to get all the details!

All Couples Are Welcome

Whether you've been married for 50 years or more, or if you just got married this month, all married couples are welcome to join us for the wedding vow renewals, and it is absolutely free! All you need to do is show up anytime from 9 am-4 pm. This is a wonderful yearly event that we truly enjoy hosting for the incredible people that come to our Lake of the Ozarks scenic attraction. 

It doesn't cost you anything to take part, but we are asking this year that everyone bring a non-perishable food item to benefit the local food banks in Camdenton for those who are less fortunate. The time of giving has passed, but the need is still there. It's a great way for all of us to share some of the love.

Almost everyone enjoys getting a surprise! Since our vow renewals take place right before Valentine's Day, renewing your vows is the perfect surprise gift to your significant other because they won't even be expecting it! 

If you think your significant other may get nervous or caught off guard when you show up to renew your vows, simply tell them beforehand that's where you are going and it will still feel like a surprise because you planned the whole thing! 

Celebrate a Significant Anniversary 

Are you celebrating a significant wedding anniversary this year? 5 years...10 years...20 years...or even 50? It's important to take time to celebrate such an accomplishment and what better way than to recommit yourself to each other?

Our Free Vow renewals are held every February on the Sunday before Valentine's Day! We are so excited that Valentine's Day falls on a Sunday to make our ceremony even more special. What better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than to renew your vows. No reservations are required, simply show up between 9am and 4pm on Valentine's Day and enjoy the experience!

The most scenic cave tour in Missouri is surrounded by the natural beauty of Thunder Mountain Park .  This incredible Lake of the Ozarks attraction  covers hundreds of acres.  It spreads over more than a mile of Lake of the Ozraks shoreline, a mile of highway frontage along Old Missouri Route 5, and all the acreage in between.  That is a lot of nature to be explored! Spend Your Spring Break at the Lake of the Ozarks

It's time for Spring Break! You don't need to travel to some sandy beach to get away from everything. Our scenic Lake of the Ozarks attraction feels lucky to be located in the center of some of the most natural beauty in America. There's no need to travel any further than right here, the Midwest's Coast!  There are buds on the trees and the flowers are beginning to bloom, the fish are biting, and the lake is calling out to us all! Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park are even extending our hours to kick off Spring Break, and we'll be open daily from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm beginning March 11, 2017 . Stalactites & Stalagmites - Which is Which?

Caves in Missouri , as well as around the world, are filled with stalactites and stalagmites.  Everyone has heard of these, but most people have trouble remembering which is which.  Today's Bridal Cave blog will hopefully help you to remember once and for all which one hangs from the ceiling and which one hangs from the floor.  We'll even teach you some interesting facts about how both are formed.   There are a couple of different ways that people use to help them keep these two types of formations straight.  Stalactites are fixed "tight" to the ceiling, and stalagmites "might" trip you when you walk.  Another trick is to use the spelling. StalaCtite has a "C" like the Ceiling from which it hangs, and stalaGmites have a "G" like the Ground they grow on.  You may think these ideas sound corny, but we bet at least one of them will stick with you and you will always remember!
