Positions Available 

Tour Guides 

Tasks include but not limited to giving informative, fun, and educational walking tours about Bridal Cave history, biology, geology, and conservation. You will be trained on giving tours so no prior knowledge is required. Interacting with the general public in a hospitable fashion about the cave as well as the Lake Area as a whole is a big part of your job duties.  

Cashiers 

Tasks include but not limited to selling tour tickets, souvenirs, etc.. Scheduling tours, answering phones, speaking with the general public in a hospitable fashion, and assisting visitors with questions about our facility as well as sharing information about the Lake Area. 

Photographers 

Tasks include but not limited to taking quality tour group photos of each family touring Bridal Cave. Developing and distributing photos. You will be trained on how to use our equipment so no prior photography skills are needed. 

Landscaping & Maintenance 

Tasks include but not limited to ground maintenance, weed eating, blowing off walkways, maintenance inside of the cave, and general handyman work. 

Compensation 

Starting pay is $10 per hour plus commission and bonus to make up to $12 per hour. All training and uniforms are provided. 

Skills Needed 

  • The ability to work with kids and families in a wholesome family entertainment business 
  • Must enjoy working with the public and school groups 
  • Should be comfortable working underground and in occasional tight spaces 
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays

The most scenic cave tour in Missouri is surrounded by the natural beauty of Thunder Mountain Park .  This incredible Lake of the Ozarks attraction  covers hundreds of acres.  It spreads over more than a mile of Lake of the Ozraks shoreline, a mile of highway frontage along Old Missouri Route 5, and all the acreage in between.  That is a lot of nature to be explored! Spend Your Spring Break at the Lake of the Ozarks

It's time for Spring Break! You don't need to travel to some sandy beach to get away from everything. Our scenic Lake of the Ozarks attraction feels lucky to be located in the center of some of the most natural beauty in America. There's no need to travel any further than right here, the Midwest's Coast!  There are buds on the trees and the flowers are beginning to bloom, the fish are biting, and the lake is calling out to us all! Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park are even extending our hours to kick off Spring Break, and we'll be open daily from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm beginning March 11, 2017 . Stalactites & Stalagmites - Which is Which?

Caves in Missouri , as well as around the world, are filled with stalactites and stalagmites.  Everyone has heard of these, but most people have trouble remembering which is which.  Today's Bridal Cave blog will hopefully help you to remember once and for all which one hangs from the ceiling and which one hangs from the floor.  We'll even teach you some interesting facts about how both are formed.   There are a couple of different ways that people use to help them keep these two types of formations straight.  Stalactites are fixed "tight" to the ceiling, and stalagmites "might" trip you when you walk.  Another trick is to use the spelling. StalaCtite has a "C" like the Ceiling from which it hangs, and stalaGmites have a "G" like the Ground they grow on.  You may think these ideas sound corny, but we bet at least one of them will stick with you and you will always remember!
