Free Vow Renewal Event is Coming Soon at Bridal Cave!

Sunday, February 10th, 2019 Bridal Cave is hosting our Annual Wedding Vow Renewals from 9am to 4pm! This will be our 7th year doing our free vowel renewals centered around Valentine's Day. We look forward to this wonderful event all year as couples from all over Missouri and surrounding states visit our unique wedding venue at the Lake of the Ozarks to celebrate the love they have for one another. We typically see over two hundred couples on this special day in the park and we hope to see even more couples this year! Get all the details below!


Everyone is Invited to Attend! 

You don't have to be celebrating a milestone anniversary to participate in our vowel renewals at Bridal Cave. If you've been married two months, 5 years, or 35 we hope to see you and your spouse at renewing your vowels at our wedding venue at the Lake of the Ozarks! The best part about our Annual Vow Renewal is that this event is completely FREE to everyone! 

This event is free to all couples to participate but we do ask that you bring a nonperishable food item to benefit the Lamb House of Camdenton. This our way of giving back to the Camdenton Community and those in need.

The most scenic cave tour in Missouri is surrounded by the natural beauty of Thunder Mountain Park .  This incredible Lake of the Ozarks attraction  covers hundreds of acres.  It spreads over more than a mile of Lake of the Ozraks shoreline, a mile of highway frontage along Old Missouri Route 5, and all the acreage in between.  That is a lot of nature to be explored! Establishing the park Thunder Mountain Park was established in 1950 in order to protect the caves within it.  The amazing colors and incredible onyx formations inside of Bridal Cave  are all formed by minerals from rain water that seeps into the ground. Spend Your Spring Break at the Lake of the Ozarks

It's time for Spring Break! You don't need to travel to some sandy beach to get away from everything. Our scenic Lake of the Ozarks attraction feels lucky to be located in the center of some of the most natural beauty in America. There's no need to travel any further than right here, the Midwest's Coast!  There are buds on the trees and the flowers are beginning to bloom, the fish are biting, and the lake is calling out to us all! Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park are even extending our hours to kick off Spring Break, and we'll be open daily from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm beginning March 11, 2017 . Stalactites & Stalagmites - Which is Which?

Caves in Missouri , as well as around the world, are filled with stalactites and stalagmites.  Everyone has heard of these, but most people have trouble remembering which is which.  Today's Bridal Cave blog will hopefully help you to remember once and for all which one hangs from the ceiling and which one hangs from the floor.  We'll even teach you some interesting facts about how both are formed.   There are a couple of different ways that people use to help them keep these two types of formations straight.  Stalactites are fixed "tight" to the ceiling, and stalagmites "might" trip you when you walk.  Another trick is to use the spelling. StalaCtite has a "C" like the Ceiling from which it hangs, and stalaGmites have a "G" like the Ground they grow on.  You may think these ideas sound corny, but we bet at least one of them will stick with you and you will always remember!
