A Special Thank You For Some Special Helpers After Our Fall Festival

Our fall festival is over (for this year) and our scenic attraction at the Lake of the Ozarks is back to its regular breathtaking natural beauty. There were a LOT of decorations to remove, and we couldn't have done it as quickly or as easily without the help of a few local groups.

The following three groups repurposed almost all of the fall decorations that we used to decorate the festival. All of us at Bridal Cave and Thunder Mountain Park want to send a special thank you out to all of them by featuring each one in today's blog.

Forget Me Not Horse Rescue & Sanctuary
The gang from this wonderful organization located in Linn Creek picked up our hay bales to use on their farm. The mission of the Missouri Forget Me Not Horse Rescue & Sanctuary is to provide aid and sanctuary to abused, neglected, abandoned, or donated horses that come to them in need. They are there to offer assistance to horses in peril by providing medical care, proper nutrition, and a health plan to restore them both physically and mentally for a new happy and healthy life. They often work with law enforcement and other agencies to fix situations that need attention.

Continued fundraising efforts help to support their rescue programs, and they also strive to educate people and promote awareness about the issues involving the neglect and abuse of horses in our area. They have many ways that you can helps. You can sponsor a horse, adopt one, become a volunteer at the sanctuary, or provide donations in the form of money or items off of their wish list. Funny Farm Petting Zoo
The straw and corn from the Thunder Mountain Fall Festival were picked up by this family-fun attraction in Eldon. They describe themselves as "Backyard family fun with a kick!!" It's the only place at the Lake of the Ozarks where you can ride a Clydesdale. You can also get up close and personal with many other incredible animals, plus they offer tent camping, wagons rides, bonfires, a heated saloon, and availability for birthday parties.

They are open year round, Thursday-Monday, and you can check the Funny Farm Petting Zoo Facebook page for their hours and where to find them. Yet another Lake of the Ozarks attraction offering some family fun, as it should be!

Scott's Concrete
Scott's Concrete in Camdenton is a good neighbor to everyone in the community, and they are always willing to help out local charities when the need arises. They offered their services to haul off all of the fall decorations that went to the Forget Me Not Horse Rescue & Sanctuary.

This ready-mix concrete business has been serving the entire lake area since 1954, and they have batch sites in Camdenton, Eldon, and Climax Springs. The next time that you are looking for a trustworthy company for your home improvement projects involving concrete, as well as any commercial concrete needs, give these wonderful people a call. You can find them online at www.Scottsconcrete.biz.

Once again, thank you to all three of these groups for helping us clean up our Lake of the Ozarks family attraction after the Thunder Mountain Fall Festival this year. Also, thank you to everyone that came out and had some autumn fun with us in October. The funt doesn't end there though!
