Bringing your group to Bridal Cave is as easy as 1-2-3:
#1 - Pick a date.
It's not difficult to find a date that works with your group's schedule, because we're open 7 days a week! When you make your group reservation, we'll be happy to help you decide on a day that fits best into your schedule.
#2 - Pick a time.
We open every day at 9 am, and through June 10 we are open until 5 pm. After that, June 11-August 14, we add an extra hour and don't take our last tour out until 6 pm. You can start early and take a morning tour, bring everyone after lunch, or even better, plan your field trip to happen over lunchtime. Our lakeside pavilion is a wonderful place to enjoy a picnic or sack lunch, and it can seat up to 80.
#3 - Pick your options.
We're a lot more than "just a cave tour." (America's most scenic cave tour, to be more precise!) There are lots of things to do and enjoy while you're here, and we even offer a couple of special tours.
- Bridal Cave Group Tours
During your our 1-hour, guided cave tour, one of our knowledgeable tour guides will lead you through the wonders of Bridal Cave. While you are enjoying the view, you will also hear stories about the history of the cave, the geology found inside it, and the fantastic biology found in this famous cavern.
Pricing for these group tours are: $13.50 for adults, ages 13 and up, and $6.75 for children ages 4-12. Kids 4 and under are free. We also offer a special elementary school rate of $4.00. This requires a minimum of 15 paid admissions, and teachers and bus drivers will receive complimentary tickets.
- Gemstone Mining
This super-fun activity can be added to any reserved tour for an additional $5 per person. Each student is provided with a bag of mining rough that they can dump into our giant sluice in front of the gift shop and pan for treasures! All of the bags are slightly different, but you can expect to find semi-precious minerals and gemstones inside, such as emeralds, fools' gold, amethyst, garnets, sapphires, and more. The students even get to keep all of the treasures that they find to take home as a souvenir.
- Discovery Tour
The Discovery Tour is a true adventure in learning. It includes 2 hours of excitement and education, 2 caves, 2 classrooms, and a flashlight to take home! In addition to the regular Bridal Cave tour, the children in your group will also enjoy a half-mile nature walk which contains two outdoor classrooms. It also includes a flashlight tour of Bear Cave, our hands-on cave tour. After it's over, the flashlight is theirs to keep as a souvenir of the trip.
Pricing for the Discovery Tour is: $16 for adults ages 13 and up, and $8 per child. There is a minimum of 15 paid admissions required, and teachers and bus drivers are complimentary.
- Thunder Mountain Park
Bridal Cave is located in Thunder Mountain Park, which is a large wooded tract right on the shoreline of the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks. In addition to the trails that your group can hike, you will also find:
- Observation decks and an 80-foot observation tower
- Picnic areas
- Boat dock (with great big fish to feed!)
- Gift Shop
- Thunder Mountain Mining Company, a unique rock and mineral shop specializing in rock, minerals, fossils, and educational materials for rock hounds of all ages.
If you are hosting a large group of children this summer and are looking for something special to keep them entertained, bring them all to Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park. The kids (as well as the adults tagging along) will be having so much fun, they won't even realize that they're learning!
Reservations are required for groups of 15 or more. You can make reservations online through our website, or give us a call at 573-346-2676. It is sure to be one of the highlights of everyone's summer vacation!
