Camdenton Hosts the 66th Annual Dogwood Festival April 14-16

Just up the road from Bridal Cave and Thunder Mountain Park, Camdenton is getting ready to host their 66th Annual Dogwood Festival. This event is a highly anticipated, fun weekend for the entire family. Some exciting things to look forward to are a parade, crafts, music, entertainment, food, and more.

This popular Lake of the Ozarks annual event celebrates our beautiful state tree, the Flowering Dogwood. You will find many of these gorgeous trees all around Thunder Mountain Park, and in the spring they are in full glory. White blossoms are the most common, but you will also see pink dogwood trees around Missouri.

The Dogwood Festival holds the record for the longest continuously running festival in the lake area. It takes place in various areas around town. Beginning this Thursday, April 14, the carnival opens up in the Middle School parking lot at 5 pm. Friday and Saturday is when the majority of the festival will be taking place, beginning early in the morning and closing with the carnival each night. Below is a list all of the scheduled events.

Our Lake of the Ozarks family attraction is only a few miles away from all of the action. Before or after you go to the festival, come on over and tour Bridal Cave or take a gorgeous nature walk in Thunder Mountain Park. Maybe you can go on a Dogwood spotting hike.
